The Bealiba Pony Club was a highlight at the Rheola Charity Carnival, with riders participating in showjumping and handy mount events. Spectators were pleased with the turnout and riders were vocal in encouraging their horses. Heights ranged from 30cm to 90cm in the showjumping event, while the handy mount event tested a pony’s obedience and quietness through 10 obstacles with a time limit.

In addition to the equestrian events, a tractor pull competition took place with winners in the rubber under 20hp category. Alan Lendon took first place, followed by Barry Finch in second and Leigh in third. The competition added to the excitement of the carnival and showcased the skills of the participants.
