Honoring Frank Taylor and the Stable Recovery Program: A Life-Changing Journey in the Thoroughbred Industry

Frank Taylor and the stable Recovery Program are being honored with a special Eclipse Award for their service to the Thoroughbred industry. Taylor and stable Recovery CEO Christian Countzler work together to provide support and employment opportunities for recovering addicts in the racing industry. The programs will be honored at the Eclipse Awards dinner in Florida.

Taylor was inspired to start the program after seeing the success of a similar model in a local restaurant. The Taylor Made School of Horsemanship and stable Recovery program work together to provide training, support, and employment opportunities for men in early recovery. The program has been successful in helping individuals recover and find meaningful employment in the Thoroughbred industry.

The program is funded by private donations and state and federal grants, with more than 100 individuals having graduated from the program. Taylor attributes the success of the program to the therapeutic nature of horses, the structured environment, and the hard work required. He believes the program is solving multiple problems and reuniting families, and is proud of the impact it has had on individuals and the industry.
