Dr. Ed Dewar, a legendary figure in the Western Australian breeding industry, passed away earlier this year, leaving behind a legacy of success in harness racing. Following his death, his family entrusted Australian Pacing Gold (APG) to conduct an Estate Sale of his remaining stock, which will be available for auction online from May 2 to May 4, 2025. The sale will include 17 horses, including broodmares, two-year-olds, and a yearling, many of which carry the bloodline of Dr. Dewar’s foundation mare, Remit.
Dr. Dewar’s breeding operation at Whitby Falls Stud produced numerous successful horses over the years, with many of them going on to achieve great success in racing. The Estate Sale will offer a unique opportunity to acquire horses from Dr. Dewar’s breeding program, which has been a significant contributor to the success of West Australian breeders. The sale includes horses with connections to Remit, a key mare in Dr. Dewar’s breeding program.
