Heroic Rescue: Horse Saved from Collapsed Septic Tank in Pueblo West

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Emergency Services, along with other local organizations, rescued a horse from a collapsed septic tank in Pueblo West. The horse was found in chest-deep sewage and was sedated by a local veterinarian before being lifted out of the tank with tow straps and a truck-mounted crane. The horse was reported to be doing well after the rescue.

Union workers at King Soopers stores in Pueblo are planning to go on strike on Friday, according to Local 7 President Kim Kordova. The announcement was made during a news conference on Thursday. The strike is set to take place at King Soopers locations in Pueblo.
