Gisborne equestrians have been busy traveling to shows around the North Island, with many riders achieving success in various competitions. Ella Rouse and Rumble Bumble won the pony 95cm at the Hawke’s Bay A&P Show, while Eva Jean Henry and Hololio Sparkling Rose placed third and fifth in the Category A 60cm. Molly McEwan and Dipped’n Paint were fifth in the Horse 1.15m Show Jumping Championship, and Zoe McNaught and Nitro Pandora had multiple placings in different categories.
At the Waikato World Cup Show, Isobell Jayne Bevitt and Mangatu Solar Eclipse placed sixth in the pony 1.15m, while McNaught and Nitro Pandora were third in the Bay of Plenty Show Hunter Spring Championship Show. Cindy Kershaw and Kiwi Vision had a memorable win at the Central Hawke’s Bay A&P Show, and Georgie Coop and her team also had a successful show, placing in various competitions.
Local riders have been excelling in working hunter and hunter jumping classes, with Wendy Hindrup, Fraser Tombleson, Megan Kanz, Selene Mullany, and Lucy Ingram all achieving top prizes in these sections.
