Germany Aims for Fifth Consecutive Victory at FEI Dressage Nations Cup in Wellington

The 2025 FEI dressage Nations Cup season kicked off in Wellington, with Germany aiming for their fifth consecutive win. All horses passed the vet inspection, and the German team, including Michael Klimke and young talent Felicitas Hendricks, looked strong. The United States, Sweden, Canada, and Australia also competed, with teams classified based on their collective scores from the Grand Prix test.

Germany has dominated the Wellington event in recent years, with Michael Klimke contributing to all four victories between 2021 and 2024. The German team, including young riders Evelyn Eger and Lars Ligus, showcased their talent in the competition. The season will consist of five legs, spanning from Wellington to Europe, with teams earning points at each event to determine the series champion.

The United States, Sweden, Canada, and Australia also competed in the Nations Cup, with riders like Kevin Kohmann and Jemma Heran showcasing their skills. The competition format allows for teams to bring forward four athletes, with the lowest score dropped from the team total. The season will continue with events in Compiegne, Lier, Rotterdam, and Falsterbo, with teams vying for the series title.
