Ga Law, trained by Jamie Snowden, is set to return to action in the Denman Chase at Newbury before potentially targeting the Stayers’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. The decision to skip the Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham was due to unsuitable ground conditions, with the preference for good to soft or good ground. The plan is to bypass an entry at Musselburgh and aim for the Denman Chase at Newbury followed by the Stayers’ Hurdle if the ground conditions are favorable.
Another promising horse for Snowden is Wendigo, who finished well in the Challow Novices’ Hurdle at Newbury. The plan is to prepare him for the Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle in March, with one more appearance on track in February before the big race at Prestbury Park. Wendigo will have a prep run in a novice hurdle with a penalty before the Albert Bartlett.
Snowden is pleased with the progress of both Ga Law and Wendigo, with their sights set on important races in the upcoming months. The decision to prioritize good ground conditions for Ga Law and to carefully plan the preparation races for Wendigo demonstrates the trainer’s strategic approach to their racing careers.
