Danish young rider Sophia Obel Jorgensen debuted the 21-year-old Hanoverian stallion Delatio at Intermediaire II level at the 2025 CDN Esbjerg on 24 January 2025. Delatio, bred by Ulrike and Reinhold Bosse, has had a successful career as an international Grand Prix horse under various riders.
Delatio was discovered as a foal and licensed with the Hanoverian society, eventually making his way to riders such as Hannes Baumgart, Bianca Kasselmann, and Emile Faurie. The stallion achieved high scores and international success, including qualifying for the World Cup Finals in Paris in 2018.
After being sold to Malaysian Qabil Ambak with the goal of qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Delatio’s competitive career came to an end due to a lack of competition and the postponement of the Olympics. He has since become a schoolmaster, passing on his knowledge and experience to riders such as Johanne Amby Ubbesen and now Sophia Obel Jorgensen, who recently made her debut with him at the Intermediaire II level.
