Forever Young and Romantic Warrior Headline Dubai World Cup Program

Japan’s Forever Young and Hong Kong’s Romantic Warrior, who finished 1-2 in the $20 million Saudi Cup, are set to compete in separate races at the Dubai World Cup program at Meydan Racecourse. The fields for the races include 35 group 1 or grade 1 winners from around the world, with several returning champions from 13 different racing jurisdictions.

Forever Young is the star of the $12 million World Cup field, facing off against Japanese and American runners, as well as two local contenders. Romantic Warrior will compete in the Dubai Turf, facing off against a strong field that includes Godolphin’s Nations Pride and France’s Facteur Cheval.

The Dubai World Cup program also features races for speedballs, including the Al Quoz Sprint and the Dubai Golden Shaheen. The UAE Derby has been repositioned this year to guarantee the winner a spot in the Kentucky Derby, with entries from Japan, Norway, England, and the United States. The Godolphin Mile and Dubai Gold Cup are also part of the program.
