Two people were killed in Greenville County, South Carolina, after a car believed to be involved in a chase crashed and caught fire. Deputies attempted to pull over a Honda Accord near Anderson Road and White Horse Road, but the vehicle did not stop, leading to a brief chase that was later canceled near White Horse Road and Interstate 85. The suspect vehicle crashed and caught fire on I-85, resulting in the deaths of two individuals.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the car involved in the crash ran off the left side of the road while trying to merge onto I-85 Southbound, hitting a concrete barrier wall. The coroner’s office was called to the scene and confirmed that two people died in the single-vehicle crash. The names of the deceased individuals will be released by the coroner on Monday.
