Exciting Horse Racing Events Across Pennsylvania: Key Dates and Highlights

The Pennsylvania Horse Racing Association (PHRA) has announced key event dates for horse racing fans across the state, featuring family-friendly activities, freebies, live music, food and beverage specials, and more. Some highlights include Super Sunday at Harrah’s Philadelphia Racetrack on May 25, the Penn Mile at Penn National Racecourse on May 30, and the Delvin Miller Adios Pace at The Meadows Racetrack on July 26.

Super Sunday at Harrah’s Philadelphia Racetrack will feature the Maxie Lee Trot, Joseph Auger Memorial Pace, and Betsy Ross Pace. The Penn Mile at Penn National Racecourse will showcase a Grade 3 thoroughbred race for three-year olds with a $400,000 purse, along with other notable stakes races. The Delvin Miller Adios Pace at The Meadows Racetrack is the largest event of the year for three-year-old colt and gelding pacers.

Sun Stakes Saturday at Mohegan Pennsylvania Racetrack on August 16 will offer more than $2 million in purses, including races for three-year-old pacers and trotters, as well as the Sebastian K. Invitational. The Masters Stakes at Presque Isle Downs on September 19 will feature the $150,000 Presque Isle Mile and $300,000 Grade II Presque Isle Masters stakes. The PA Derby at Parx Racing on September 20 will include the Pennsylvania Derby and Cotillion Stakes, both $1 million Grade I stakes races.
