The 2025 FEI dressage Nations Cup USA CDIO3 individual competition concluded with Erin Nichols and Elian Royale placing fourth and Kevin Kohmann and Giulietta placing fifth in the Starpoint Dancesport FEI Grand Prix Special CDIO3. Chef d’Equipe Christine Traurig praised the U.S. combinations for their resilience, determination, and teamwork throughout the competition, despite facing challenges in the arena. Nichols and Elian Royale earned a score of 67.000% and showcased strong performances in their canter tour, while Kohmann and Giulietta received a score of 64.149% with impressive movements but a bobble in their walk-piaffe-passage transition affecting their overall score.
Nichols expressed happiness with her performance, focusing on giving her horse a confident ride and improving their partnership at the Grand Prix level. The 2009 Dutch Warmblood gelding, Elian Royale, owned by Premiere Sport Horses, received strong marks from the judging panel for their extended canter, flying changes, and collected canter movements. Competition will conclude the following day with the CDIU25 FEI Grand Prix Freestyle, which will be live-streamed on ClipMyHorse.TV/FEI.TV.
