Enhancing Collaboration: HK Jockey Club and China Travel Service Sign Memorandum of Agreement

The Hong Kong Jockey Club and China Travel Service have signed a memorandum of understanding to deepen collaboration in promoting horse-racing tourism, cultural exchange, and youth development. The memorandum aims to promote tourism in the Greater Bay Area, consolidate Hong Kong’s position as an international tourism hub, and facilitate youth development and exchange between the city and the mainland. The collaboration will include promoting horse-racing tourism at the club’s racecourses in Hong Kong and Guangzhou, as well as developing unique travel packages that integrate horse racing and entertainment activities.

The collaboration between the Hong Kong Jockey Club and China Travel Service will strengthen exchange and cooperation in tourism, equine tourism, sports, and culture between Hong Kong and the mainland. The partnership will also include launching study tours to promote exchanges between Hong Kong and mainland youngsters, as well as exploring opportunities to enrich outer island tourism. This collaboration aligns with the national development strategy and aims to inject new vitality into the development of world-class tourist destinations in the Greater Bay Area.

The collaboration between the Hong Kong Jockey Club and China Travel Service has been praised as two ideals perfectly complementing each other, with a successful example being the “New Quality Productive Forces Summer Tour” promoting youth exchange. This partnership will further showcase the appeal of Hong Kong as a world-class tourist destination, attract visitors to return repeatedly, and align with the development blueprint for Hong Kong’s tourism industry. Additionally, it is part of the club’s efforts to promote cultural tourism, following initiatives such as conserving Tai Kwun and funding the construction of the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
