Emily McNulty, a third-year student in the University of Guelph Equine Management program, has been awarded the prestigious 2024 Roger L’Heureux Memorial Equine Award. She will receive two online courses through Equine Guelph valued at $625 each, recognizing her dedication and outstanding contributions to the equine industry.
Described as willing and eager to learn, Emily has been a devoted horse owner for nearly a decade and actively competes in barrel racing and western games. She is a member of the Guelph Western Equestrian team and competes in western horsemanship with the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association, broadening her skills and knowledge in the equine world.
Emily’s passion for the equine athlete drives her pursuit of education in the equine field. She has completed several courses through Equine Guelph, including nutrition, first aid, large animal rescue, and sickness prevention. Emily plans to use her knowledge to coach young riders in riding and horse care for competitions, aligning perfectly with the spirit of the Roger L’Heureux Memorial Equine Award.
