Emilee Roadcap Receives 4-H Lohnes Award for Outstanding Character and Involvement

Emilee Roadcap, a senior at Tamarac High School, was recently presented with the 4-H Lohnes Award in recognition of her outstanding character qualities and involvement in the 4-H Equine program. Emilee has been a member of 4-H for 8 years and has been active in the Feathers and Fur and Rensselaer County Trailblazers clubs, excelling in project areas such as Equine, rabbits, and poultry. She has represented New York State on their Horse Communication Team and placed 6th at the Eastern National 4-H Round Up in 2023.

In addition to her involvement in 4-H, Emilee is also active in various school clubs and organizations, serving as President for Key Club, Choir Council, Youth Activation Committee, and the National Honor Society. She is also involved in Students Against Destructive Decisions, Leadership League, Student Senate, and the Yearbook Committee, as well as playing soccer. Emilee has been a tireless advocate for 4-H, leading marketing efforts through social media and Tamarac School to recruit and encourage 4-H membership.

Emilee’s dedication and leadership in 4-H and her school community have not gone unnoticed, as she has been recognized with the prestigious Lohnes Award. Her commitment to promoting and recruiting 4-H members, as well as her achievements in various project areas, make her a deserving recipient of this honor. Congratulations to Emilee for her outstanding work and contributions to 4-H.
