A 58-year-old woman was rescued by East Cornwall Search & Rescue Team after falling from her horse and being trampled in woodland near Liskeard. The remote location made it difficult for paramedics to evacuate her to the waiting ambulance, so the rescue team was called in to assist.
The rescue team carefully carried the woman out of the woodland on a stretcher before she was taken to Derriford Hospital for further treatment. A spokesperson for the team reminded the public to dial 999 and ask for Mountain Rescue in emergencies.
