Elisabeth Max-Theurer Re-elected as Vice President of Austrian Olympic Committee

Elisabeth Max-Theurer, the 1980 Olympic dressage champion and president of the Austrian equestrian federation, has been re-elected as the vice president of the Austrian Olympic Committee during the annual General Assembly on March 24, 2025. Horst Nussbaumer was elected as the new President of the OOC, making him the first president in 111 years to have competed at the Olympics, having participated in three Olympic Games as a rower.

Nussbaumer was the only candidate elected with 42 out of 48 votes cast, and Florian Gosch was appointed as the Secretary General. Max-Theurer, who has been a member of the ÖOC Board since 2005, expressed her excitement about working with Nussbaumer and the new team to shape the future of Olympic sports in Austria.

In addition to her role as vice president of the Austrian Olympic Committee, Max-Theurer is also a 5* judge in equestrian sports. She has been actively involved in the equestrian community and has made significant contributions to the sport over the years.
