Helen Coombes, a resident at Mortain Place Care Home, had always wanted to relive her youthful days of horse riding. Staff at the care home, with the help of Polegate Equestrian Centre, made her wish a reality. Helen was accompanied by friends who were there to witness the momentous occasion, leaving her on the verge of tears.

The staff at Mortain Place Care Home first learned about Helen’s dream when she mentioned it for her 93rd birthday. Since then, they have been dedicated to helping her achieve it, believing that every moment is worth cherishing. Mortain Place Care Home, run by Barchester Healthcare, provides residential and dementia care for 80 residents.
