Dorothee Schneider Premieres New Ride in Competition: Maik Kanitzky’s Rosé

German Olympian Dorothee Schneider has debuted a new ride in competition, Maik Kanitzky’s small tour horse Rosé. The 8-year-old Oldenburg mare is by Revolution and was bred by Bolette Wandt in France. Rosé was previously trained by Nicole Beinlich and made her competition debut as a 4-year-old, gradually moving up the levels to M-level in 2023.

Owner Maik Kanitzky, who recently acquired stallion Elastic from Helgstrand, has put both Rosé and Elastic in training with Dorothee Schneider. Schneider also rides Segantini for the owner. Rosé made her competition debut with Schneider in April 2025, posting impressive scores in S-text and Prix St Georges Special classes.

Despite some confusion in the equestrian media, Schneider is not riding “Rosee de Fontaine” but rather Maik Kanitzky’s Rosé. Schneider will not be competing in the upcoming CDI “Horses & Dreams” in Hagen, opting instead to compete in the smaller CDI in Mannheim. This decision comes as Schneider continues to develop her string of horses and prepare for upcoming competitions.
