Community Rallies Behind Teen Injured in Tragic Car Crash

The horse-riding community in Lake and Sumter counties is coming together to support 16-year-old Bryleigh Law, who was injured in a car crash that took the life of her father. The pair had been celebrating Bryleigh’s 16th birthday when the accident occurred, leaving Bryleigh with serious injuries including fractures, burns, and contusions. The community is rallying around Bryleigh and her family during this difficult time.

The crash occurred when a driver ran a stop sign, causing a collision that resulted in both vehicles bursting into flames. Bryleigh’s father, Joel Law, was killed in the accident. Bryleigh’s mother, Whitney Law, has been by her daughter’s side since the crash, supporting her through her recovery. Bryleigh, who is described as strong, is refusing to use her pain button and is only taking pain medication in pill form.

The Lake Saddle Club, where Bryleigh grew up riding, has dedicated their upcoming events to Bryleigh and her family. They are holding fundraisers and a silent auction to support them during this challenging time. The community’s outpouring of support has been meaningful to Whitney Law, who is also battling Stage 3 breast cancer. Witnesses who helped Bryleigh after the crash are being praised, and anyone with information about the accident is encouraged to contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
