Lynne Wahlstrom has been announced as the new 4-H Youth Development Educator and Program Supervisor at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County. She has previous experience with the Chautauqua County 4-H Program as a member and volunteer, as well as working with Purdue University Extension in Indiana. Wahlstrom’s past experiences in the 4-H program have helped her develop valuable life skills and pursue her hobbies, such as running a livestock farm and training and showing dogs.
CCE Chautauqua has been undergoing growth and restructuring, with Wahlstrom being hired as the Youth Development Supervisor. Her experience, enthusiasm, and dedication to program improvement have been welcomed by the staff, board, and volunteers of CCE. Wahlstrom’s involvement in the 4-H program has taught her skills such as public speaking, financial management, and responsibility, which have been valuable in her career and personal pursuits.
Wahlstrom is excited to be back in New York, close to family, and working for the program she loves. She looks forward to getting to know the 4-H families and volunteers in the coming months. CCE Chautauqua is currently hiring to fill vacant and new positions in both the 4-H Youth Development Program and the Agricultural program.
