The Virginia Equine Alliance is presenting a special “Virginia Thoroughbred Week” on the Horse Racing Radio Network from March 10-15. The week will celebrate the history of the Virginia Thoroughbred industry leading up to the $500,000 Virginia Derby, the first-ever Kentucky Derby qualifying race at Colonial Downs. HRRN will feature replays of memorable wins, interviews, and conversations focused on the achievements of top Virginia-bred horses and their connections.
Listeners can enjoy the special content on all HRRN shows throughout the week, as well as on the organization’s social media pages, email newsletters, and website. The week will conclude on March 15 with a Virginia Derby day edition of HRRN’s Equine Forum show, which airs from 8:00-11:00 a.m. ET on Saturdays. HRRN shows can be heard across North America on Sirius 162/XM 207, with live streaming and podcasts available on the network’s website and various podcast platforms.
