Canadian Danielle Gallagher Secures Double Victory at CDI Ocala 2025

Canadian rider Danielle Gallagher achieved a double victory at the CDI Ocala, the first CDI of 2025 at the World Equestrian Center. Despite only having nine riders in total, the event covered medium tour and Grand Prix classes, raising questions about the financial viability of hosting such an event.

Gallagher and her Lusitano horse Come Back de Massa won the Grand Prix with a score of 65.739%, marking their return to the CDI circuit after campaigning for the Canadian dressage team in 2024. The pair has been working on building their relationship and strength since starting together nearly three years ago.

In the Grand Prix freestyle, Gallagher and Come Back de Massa repeated their success from the previous day, scoring a personal best of 71.475%. Their performance was inspired by the movie “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron,” and Gallagher expressed her excitement for the upcoming year of competition with her horse.
