The C.A.I.R.D.E Conor Coffee Morning Fundraiser was held at the IFA center in Enniscorthy on Saturday morning, with Tracey Jennings, Pat O’Connor, Marion Jennings, Caoimhe Mahon, and Caoimhe Quinsey among those in attendance. The event aimed to raise funds for Conor Martin, who suffered a spinal cord injury in a horse riding accident earlier this year.
Conor’s family and friends have been working hard to support his journey back to independent living, with the coffee morning being just one of the many fundraisers organized in his honor. Conor is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dublin, with his immediate and medium-term needs including specialized transport, equipment for independent living, and ongoing medical treatment.
Supporters of Conor have raised over €234,000 through various fundraisers such as races, runs, concerts, and coffee mornings, bringing them closer to their overall target of €250,000. The community has come together to show their support for Conor and his family during this challenging time, with the coffee morning serving as a successful event to raise funds and awareness for his ongoing rehabilitation journey.
