Bobby J. Bishop Jr., a Brownsville man, has been indicted on charges including rape and sodomy. The charges include first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor illegal sex act, under 16, third-degree rape, and third-degree sodomy. Bishop was confirmed to have worked as a horseback riding trainer by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office in August 2024.
Bishop is currently being held at the Hart County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond. It is important to note that every adult in Kentucky is a mandated reporter, meaning they are required to report suspected abuse of a minor to local law enforcement. If you suspect a minor may be a victim of any type of abuse, it is encouraged to reach out to the authorities.
The charges against Bishop highlight the seriousness of the allegations, and the importance of reporting any suspicions of abuse involving minors. The case serves as a reminder of the responsibility adults have to protect children and ensure their safety.
