Brooke USA Foundation has launched the Fire Horses Emergency Campaign to support equines affected by the California wildfires, partnering with Fleet of Angels to provide feed and supplies. Additionally, a grant program has been established in partnership with the EQUUS Foundation to provide disaster relief funding to equine charities in Southern California.
The focus of the campaign is not only on immediate aid but also on the recovery process, which includes restoring normalcy for impacted horses and their owners. Drawing from their experience in Paradise, Calif., Fleet of Angels will establish horse hay and supply banks throughout the fire-affected area to provide critical supplies for several months. The goal is to reunite equines with their owners or find them peaceful rehoming transitions.
