Boyd Martin and Luke 140 topped the leaderboard in the CCI4-S dressage at stable View, with Lucienne Bellissimo and Dyri close behind. Boyd also had success in show jumping, topping the podium with all three of his horses after two double clear rounds. Lucienne and Dyri are looking forward to Cross Country, with Dyri preparing for his first CCI5 at Kentucky later this month.
Boyd Martin is currently leading the CCI4*-S division with Luke 140, followed closely by himself in second place with Commando 3. Lucienne and Dyri are in fourth place, while Emily Hamel and Corvett are in fifth. The Cross Country course is designed as a pre-Kentucky prep run, with a focus on testing combinations and preparing them for the challenges ahead.
The top three in the CCI3-S and Advanced divisions remained unchanged following show jumping, while the Intermediate division saw some shuffling of placings. The CCI2-S division only did dressage on the first day, with Isabelle Bosley and Conner leading the pack. Cross Country will kick off in the morning, with free admission for Aiken locals to come and experience the thrill of eventing.
