BLM Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Events Across the United States in 2025

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will be hosting a series of wild horse and burro adoption events in various locations across the United States. These events will offer a limited number of excess animals gathered from western rangelands to be placed in good homes. The events will take place in Las Cruces, New Mexico; West Columbia, South Carolina; Seguin, Texas; Marana and Willcox, Arizona; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Liberty, Kentucky.

The adoption events will be held on specific dates ranging from January to March 2025, with each event lasting for a couple of days. The BLM is looking for individuals who are interested in providing good homes for wild burros during these events. The goal is to raise awareness about wild horses and burros and find suitable placements for these animals.

Each event will feature a variety of wild horses and burros available for adoption or sale. The BLM is encouraging those interested in adopting these animals to attend the events and learn more about the adoption process. These events provide a unique opportunity for individuals to bring home a wild horse or burro and contribute to their conservation and welfare.
