Baylor Equestrian Team Dominates Minnesota Crookston, Ends Regular Season with Win

The ninth-ranked Baylor equestrian team defeated Minnesota Crookston 11-3 to end the regular season with a 5-5 record. The Bears led 6-1 at halftime on Friday and finished off the Golden Eagles with a 5-2 score on Saturday. Lauren Jorgensen and Annie Vorhies were standouts in both Flat and Fences events, earning MOP honors.

In the Flat event, Baylor swept with Jorgensen scoring an 86 and an 87 in Fences. Emily Moomaw had the high point in Reining with a 69, while Carley Rutledge led Horsemanship with a 72-point score. The Bears await their seeding in the Big 12 Championship on March 28-29, hosted by TCU at Bear Creek Farms in Burleson, Texas.

Overall, Baylor dominated the meet against Minnesota Crookston, winning in both Flat and Fences events. Jorgensen and Vorhies were top performers, earning MOP honors in their respective events. The team now looks ahead to the Big 12 Championship at the end of March.
