Angels Spread Kindness in the Lehigh Valley: Be an Angel Campaign Success Story

The 25th annual Be an Angel campaign organized by The Morning Call in the Lehigh Valley was a huge success, with over $275,400 worth of donations received, making the total success story of the campaign nearly $6.2 million. The donations included tangible goods, volunteer time, and talents that helped various nonprofit organizations in the community provide essential services to those in need, such as food, shelter, medical care, and educational tools.

Generous donors, including individuals, businesses, and organizations, contributed to fulfilling the wishes of nonprofits serving a wide range of causes, from helping the homeless and animals to supporting children’s education and health care. The Be an Angel campaign has been instrumental in bringing together compassionate people who are willing to make a positive impact in their community, showcasing the kindness and generosity of individuals who have the heart of an angel.

One of the top beneficiaries of the campaign was the Cops ‘n’ Kids Children’s Literacy Program, which received nearly 34,000 books donated by various individuals and businesses. The program, established in 2003, aims to promote literacy among children in the Lehigh Valley and has distributed nearly 1.25 million free books over the years. The success of the Be an Angel campaign highlights the spirit of community and generosity that can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need, encouraging individuals to continue giving back and helping others in the future.
