Andrea Woodard and Roxette Shine at 2025 CDI Ocala

Andrea Woodard and Roxette won the Prix St. Georges 1* at the 2025 CDI Ocala with a score of 70.176%, marking their first internationally rated competition as they aim to qualify for the US Festival of Champions this summer. Woodard praised Roxette’s willingness to understand and try to meet her demands during the test, highlighting the strong connection between them despite still getting to know each other.

Woodard brought Roxette over from Europe in July 2024 and has been developing the young Danish Warmblood mare, who showed potential but needed polish. Woodard, who has a successful training business in the U.S., has also trained para dressage riders, including gold medalists Roxanne Trunnell and Dolton. She is passionate about helping para riders and finds it a rewarding journey.

In the Prix St. Georges 1*, Charlotte Jorst on Atterupgaards Botticelli placed second with a score of 69.824%, while Adam Steffens-Smienk took third and fourth places with Boston Strong OLD and Bentayga, scoring 66.853% and 66.471% respectively. Woodard’s success with Roxette at the CDI Ocala adds to her achievements in training and developing horses and riders at the international level.
