Adopt a Wild Horse or Burro from BLM’s Ridgecrest Regional Corrals – Applications Approved On-Site!

The BLM’s Ridgecrest Regional Wild Horse and Burro Corrals, in partnership with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, are offering horses and burros for adoption. A total of 10 horses less than 2 years old, 10 older than 2 years old, and 10 burros will be available for adoption on a first come, first served basis. Adopters must pick up their animals by 4 pm on May 10, unless prior arrangements have been made with BLM staff.

To expedite the adoption process, applicants can bring a completed application to the event. Applications will be approved on-site, making it easier for interested individuals to adopt a horse or burro. The adoption event aims to find loving homes for these animals while also providing an opportunity for individuals to learn more about the adoption process.

For more information about the adoption event and to access the adoption application, interested individuals can visit the online corral website at www.blm.gov/whb-ridgecrest. This event presents a unique opportunity for individuals to adopt a horse or burro and provide them with a caring and nurturing home.
