The All Breeds Show Society (ABSS) is hosting a new dairy show at the Elmore Events Centre in Victoria on November 15 and 16. The event will feature a youth show, in-milk classes, and a new “it’s a knockout class” with cash prizes for winners.
Organizer Linda Leach aims to fill the gap left by the demise of the dairy show at the Melbourne Royal by providing a low-cost, all-breed event for people of all ages and abilities. The ABSS hopes to garner support from the dairy community and showcase various breeds at the event.
The Elmore Events Centre is excited to host its first dairy show, adding to the 50 to 60 events held at the venue each year. The facilities at Elmore are cost-effective and ideal for showcasing cattle, with a large grassed arena, indoor arena, and multi-purpose animal housing facilities available.
