A Dream Come True: Terminally Ill Woman’s Last Ride Fulfilled by Dream Foundation and Alisal Ranch

Traci Glynn, a lifelong horse lover diagnosed with terminal breast cancer, had her dream of a horse-riding adventure with her family come true thanks to Dream Foundation and Alisal Ranch. Despite a life expectancy of six months, Traci was able to enjoy a lovely three-night stay at the ranch with her husband and son, complete with breakfasts, dinners, archery classes, and a special breakfast ride.

Alisal Ranch generously discounted a ladies’ ride for Traci and her girlfriends, showing overwhelming generosity towards Traci and her family. Traci expressed her gratitude for the Dream trip and all that Alisal Ranch provided, feeling overwhelmed by the program’s generosity. General Manager Kathleen Cochran expressed the ranch’s inspiration to care for others and embrace a spirit of sharing love for the land, leading to a partnership with Dream Foundation to fulfill Traci’s Dream Trip.

Dream Foundation, a nonprofit based in Santa Barbara, is the only national dream-granting organization for terminally ill adults. With no state or federal funding, the organization relies on individual and corporate donations to fulfill final Dreams for those facing terminal illness. Over the last 30 years, Dream Foundation has served more than 35,000 final Dreams, providing comfort and support to those in need.
