The Bureau of Land Management and University of Idaho Extension 4-H program are partnering to offer three wild horse weanlings for adoption during the Idaho Horse Expo. These horses have been handled by 4-H youth and their training progress will be showcased during a trail challenge event on March 29 at the BLM Boise Off-Range Wild Horse Corrals.
The young wild horses will be available for public viewing during the Idaho Horse Expo at the Ford Idaho Horse Park in Nampa from April 4 – 6. The efforts of 4-H club members will culminate in a competitive bid adoption event on Sunday, April 6.
4-H members will showcase their young wild horses during the trail challenge event, giving attendees the opportunity to see the progress made in training these animals. The adoption event will provide a chance for the public to adopt one of these horses and support the efforts of the BLM and 4-H program.
