Families and horse lovers are invited to attend the 4-H Day at the Museum event on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame in Goshen, NY. The event will feature hands-on activities, crafts, live demonstrations, and special presentations from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Attendees can learn about harness racing history, participate in horse-themed crafts, and watch engaging demonstrations by 4-H youth and equine professionals.
The event is a collaboration between the Museum and the New York State 4-H Horse Program, aimed at introducing youth and families to the world of harness racing, equine education, and hands-on learning. Visitors can also experience the Museum’s interactive exhibits, harness racing simulator, and learn about 4-H equine programs. The Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of harness racing and the impact of Standardbred horses on the sport.
The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required to ensure enough supplies for all participants. The New York State 4-H Horse Program provides youth with opportunities to develop horsemanship skills, leadership, and a deeper appreciation for the equine industry. For more information about 4-H and how to get involved, visit the 4-H website or contact Brieanna Hughes.
