The new year for the 4-H club started with cold temperatures, preventing riding but allowing for a public speaking clinic, record book workshop, and ground roping practice with Brett Schroeder and Tristan Camp. Members excelled in public speaking, with volunteers and judges contributing to the success of the day.
The club participated in the Lakedell Ag Society Family Day, helping with games, hot dogs, archery, and a fireworks display. Members have been working hard on their equine goals with coach Kim Hughes, and took part in an English jumping clinic with Kelly Brouwer. Farrier Tristan Camp also provided a learning experience on horse health and shoeing.
Canine members have been busy with training and agility courses with instructor Nadia Leon. Achievement Day is set for April 6, where members will showcase their hard work and progress. The club is looking forward to a successful year ahead.
