24 Families Face Eviction from Lazy Day Mobile Home Trailer Park: Uncertain Future Ahead

About 24 families living at the Lazy Day Mobile Home Trailer Park received eviction notices, with a deadline of Oct. 18 to have their trailers removed. Financial incentives are being offered to those who move out sooner, with a $10,000 payment available if trailers are moved or titles signed over by July 18, decreasing to $5,000 by Sept. 18, and nothing if done by the Oct. 18 deadline. The property is owned by 2155 Columbia Falls LLC, owned by Freehouse Capital Partners, with plans for the site once the trailers are removed unclear.

Residents of the trailer park are already struggling to find new places to live, with many facing financial challenges in moving their trailers. The park has seen rent prices increase significantly over the years, making it difficult for residents to afford to stay. Many residents are unsure if they will be able to move their older model trailers to other parks due to restrictions on accepting older models.

Several families with children are among those facing eviction, with some considering living in campers or with family until they can find a new place to live. The financial burden of moving trailers, combined with limited options for relocation, has left many residents uncertain about their future living situations.
