Applications are now open for aspiring wild horse trainers to participate in the 2025 Seventh Annual Meeker Mustang Makeover, featuring a new Halter Class division and expanded prize opportunities. The event will take place on August 22nd and 23rd, with applications due by April 1st, 2025. New for 2025 is the Adult In-Hand Division, open to adult trainers guiding two-year-old mustangs through an obstacle course and freestyle component. The event will also include a Mustang-Only Horse Show organized by equine professionals Kristin Jacob and Steve Mantle, highlighting the versatility of mustangs in English and Western disciplines.
The Meeker Mustang Makeover will be a two-day event featuring various classes such as Youth Rail, Team Ranch Sorting, Hunter Hack Over Fences, and Figure 8 Barrel Racing.
